The longest sentence in the state was given out today as Thomas C. Ahl, 24, received two life terms plus a 300 year sentence at the County Court.

In return for pleading guilty, prosecutors promised not to seek the death penalty.

Ahl will be 89 before he can be considered for parole.

The Judge explained that Ahl had a long history of violence and brutality and that there had been no reason for him to shotgun the two employees to death.

They further justified their decision by explaining that the public needed to be protected from him.
